History

The station went on the air as WCEG on 1981-12-18. on 1988-04-05, the station changed its call sign to DWCEG, on 1991-05-24 to WCEG, on 1997-03-21 to the current WVBF.[3]

The previous holder of the callsign is now WROR-FM, licensed to Framingham and owned by Greater Media. This station was the original WVBF in Massachusetts & aired a top 40 format as "F-105".

The station's current general manager is Anthony "Tony" Lopes, who continues to do a morning radio program that he began doing in the early 1990's at former station WPEP. The program's name.
