WTJP-TV is a television station in licensed to Gadsden, Alabama. It serves the Birmingham area, primarily through its inclusion on most cable line-ups.
WTJP broadcasts its digital signal on Channel 26. It is owned and operated by Trinity Broadcasting Network. The station is largely a repeater for the national TBN schedule, with virtually no local programming. The station is aired on Bright House Networks channel 10 not to be confused with WBIQ-TV which airs on channel 10 terrestrially but it is aired on cable channel 11 instead because of signal ingress issues.
The station also has one repeater, W51BY in Jasper. It was formerly seen on W46BU in Tuscaloosa; that station went silent April 13, 2010 due to declining support, which has been attributed to the digital transition.[1]
Since the station signed on in 1986, the station has always been affiliated with TBN.
This station's digital signal, like most other full-service TBN owned-and-operated stations, carries five different TBN-run networks.
