WPGI
WPGI (100.9 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Country music format. Licensed to Horseheads, New York, USA, the station serves the Elmira-Corning area. The station is currently owned by Backyard Broadcasting, licensed to Backyard Broadcasting Elmira Licensee, LLC, and features programing from ABC Radio , Premiere Radio Networks and Jones Radio Network.[1]
WPGI is roughly modeled after sister station WPIG in Olean. Like WPIG, WPGI's morning show is known as "The Morning Pigpen" (though it has its own local host, Sandy Swan), and the two stations have some syndicated programming in common. Midday host is Chase Daniels from sister station WNKI. Afternoons are with long time market veteran Chrispy Bacon!
