WMAY (970 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a format serving the Springfield, Illinois, USA area. The station is currently owned by Long Nine, Inc.[1]

The station is known for live and local talk throughout the weekdays. That weekday lineup features Jim Leach (also the station's news and program director) from 6-9am, Ray Lytle from 9am-noon, The Dave Ramsey Show from noon-3, The Kramer Show with Keith Kramer from 3 to 6, and former Springfield alderman Frank McNeil from 6-7pm. On Saturdays, the station airs live local "self help" programming. Danny Daniels hosts Big Band Sunday, filled with standards from the 40's and 50's on Sunday Mornings from 6am - 11am.

Its principal competitor is WTAX.

WMAY played country before switching to an oldies format in the early 1990s and then to its current talk format in 1995. Its managing company, Mid-West Family Broadcasting, owns local stations WNNS-FM, WQLZ-FM, and WLCE-FM, known as "Alice @ 97.7".

The WMAY callsign has been in use at least since 1930, when it was a station in St. Louis, Missouri.
