Until September 17, 2009, WFSX-FM aired an oldies music format as WNTY. The station then changed to a News-Talk format, branded under the on-air name "92.5 Fox News".
The station changed from playing country music (as WUSV) on March 26, 2008. Six days later, the call letters were changed to WNTY.
On September 25, 2009, WNTY changed its call letters to WFSX, to go with their "Fox News" branding.
WFSX's programming can also be heard on WNOG (1270 AM) in Naples, Florida, as well as WFSX (1240 AM) in Fort Myers.
