WFBH-LP (96.7 FM) is a radio station licensed to serve Hamilton, Alabama. The station is owned by First Baptist Church Hamilton. It airs a Christian radio format.[2][3] While largely locally originated, a portion of the station's programming is derived from the Moody Broadcasting Network.[1]
This station was granted its original construction permit by the Federal Communications Commission on November 18, 2001.[4] The new station was assigned the WFBH-LP call letters by the FCC on December 3, 2002.[5] WFBH-LP began regular broadcast operations on December 10, 2002[1], and received its license to cover on April 10, 2003.[6]
Originally licensed to broadcast at 103.5 MHz, the station petitioned the FCC in August 2005 to change frequencies as its signal suffered interference from WKGL in Russellville, Alabama, and WMXV in Littleville, Alabama.[7] The FCC authorized the change in October 2005 and WFBH-LP began broadcasting at the current 96.7 MHZ in July 2006.[8]
