Governor Ernie Fletcher honored the station with the Arts Broadcasting Award in 2006.

WEBF radio station's office is currently housed in Owsley County High School.

History

The station went on the air as WSPE on 1999-01-08. On 2001-07-31, the station changed its call sign to WOCS and on 2011-03-23, changed again to the current WEBF.[3]
