On July 10, 2007, VARTV.com reported that Kalil and Company Inc announced that it brokered a deal for Clear Channel to sell its entire Charlottesville cluster to George Reed's Sistema 102 LLC for $7.75 Million. Sistema 102 LLC changed its name to Monticello Media on September 1, 2007.
"Monticello Media has yanked the jocks off the air" on WCJZ, according VARTV.com. The station has also dropped its "Mix 107.5" branding for just "FM 107.5".
On October 12, 2007 at 5:00pm, the station launched an Adult Hits format under the new branding "Tom @ 107-5". The following week on October 16, WCJZ switched its callsign to WWTJ.
On January 14, 2011, WWTJ switched from an Adult Hits format to simulcasting sister station WCHV full time.[1]
On January 17, 2011, WWTJ switched it's callsign to WCHV-FM.
