History

The company was founded in March 2001 by Dr. Nikos Patsis & Dr. Damianos Chatziantoniou and launched the first Greek Voice Portal in May 2001. Since then, the company has become the premier Speech Application Developer and Value-Added Service Provider in Greece and has offices in Athens, Greece and Guatemala City, Guatemala. Amongst the major stockholders are InQLab, the 1st Greek incubator of technology startups and SETE Ventures, a Venture Capital located in Geneva. In 2010, the Piraeus Bank Group, one of the largest banking groups in South-Eastern Europe, invested in VoiceWeb (40%). Piraeus Bank, the parent company of the Group, was founded in 1916 and has subsidiaries in Greece, Bulgaria, Albania, Romania, Serbia, Ukraine, Cyprus, Egypt and the USA, providing a complete range of banking services.

VoiceWeb is certified with ISO 9001:2000 for the design, development and implementation of Speech Applications and Telephony Services.
