Vishwa Bharati schools and colleges are run by the Vishwa Bhariti Education Foundation, which is a trust registered under the Societies Act and has on its panel educationists, philanthropists, industrialists and administrators. The trust, which was established in 1951, has its headquarters at Srinagar, Kashmir.
On 12 December 1988, the foundation stone of Vishwa Bharati school Noida was laid on 8 acres (32,000 m2) of land. Located at Arun Vihar sector-28 Noida, the school began on 10 April 1989.
The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary education (All India Scheme). The National Syllabus developed by the NCERT New Delhi, is followed.
In classes IX to XII the textbooks and other guidelines as suggested by CBSE. are followed. The medium of instruction is English, Hindi and Sanskrit are taught as second and third language respectively. In IX, the students are given a choice of Hindi/Sanskrit. At senior secondary stage, the school offers two academic streams viz. Science and Commerce. Subjects like Biology, Computer Science and Engineering Drawing are taught as electives.
The curriculum is based on the syllabi of CBSE and NCERT. Knowledge is imparted through projects work, audio-visual aids and day-to-day experiences. At the end of Std. X, the students take CBSE exams. The grade has subjects like English, Hindi, Math, Social Studies, Science etc. and extracurricular activities.
