Vineet Kumar[1][2][3] is a veteran actor, well known for playing negative roles. He has done a number of Hindi films and television serials. He is sometimes credited as Vinit Kumar or Binit Kumar.

Vineet Kumar was born in Patna, Bihar. He did his schooling from Patna Collegiate School. He completed his graduation from B.N.College, Patna. He was very active in theatre during his college days in Patna. He went on to join the Indian Peoples' Theatre Association (IPTA), Patna, in 1973. After 14 years of stage work and participating in national politics during the Jai Prakash Narayan Movement, he moved to Delhi to join the National School of Drama where he completed his Masters & Fellowship in Dramatic Arts.
He has appeared in a number of Hindi films. These include Drohkaal, Aks, Yeh Dil, Soch, Shool. Apart from Bollywood movies he has also worked on Hollywood assignments such as Bhopal: Prayer for Rain with Martin Sheen and Mischa Barton. He has also appeared in a few regional Tamil and Bhojpuri movies.
He has worked with Govind Nihalani, Rakesh Mehra, Prakash Jha and Ram Gopal Verma, to name a few. Apart from being a known face on Indian Television, Vineet is well respected by actors and directors of enviable stature.
Vineet Kumar currently lives in Mumbai and is married to Manoranjan Dhaliwal.
