Vimo Inc. is a comparison-shopping portal for healthcare products and services. On January 24, 2006, the company launched a website to allow businesses and consumers to research, rate and purchase health insurance plans and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs),[1] and rate US doctors.[2] Vimo allows comparison shoppping for medical services like heart transplants and out-patient surgeries, ostensibly for free, though advertising revenue related to consumer searches may fund Vimo services.[3]
In 2005 the company, then called "Healthia", was funded by Bessemer Venture Partners and Trinity Ventures. On September 20, 2006 the company changed its name to Vimo.
