Verkeerdevlei is a small town in the Free State province of South Africa. It was named after a stream which runs in the opposite direction compared to other streams in the area, hence the name in Afrikaans for "Wrong Marsh". The town is roughly 100 km from Bloemfontein and is in the municipality of Motheo District.
