Vecima Networks Inc. (TSX: VCM) is a designer and manufacturer of products that enable multi-play services for the telecommunications market. Vecima produces equipment for digital simulcast, switched digital video, IPTV, video on demand, data-over-cable, advanced analog and broadband wireless applications.

• April 2011 Vecima sees its revenue fall 43%. The company lays off 142 employees — 18 per cent of its total workforce. Since June 30, 2010, Vecima reduces its employee numbers by 28 per cent. Some attempts at product diversification are being made.
