Varnavas (Greek: Βαρνάβας "Barnabas") is a town in East Attica, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Marathon, of which it is a municipal unit.[1]

Varnavas is linked by road with Nea Makri and Kapandriti. Varnavas is surrounded by olive trees, pasture farmlands, grasslands and hills, pine trees dominates southward, farmlands are in valley areas. The South Euboic Sea covers the northeast and features Varnavas' nearest beach, one of the cleanest beaches of Attica. Varnavas is located NE of Athens, E of GR-1/E75 (Athens - Lamia - Thessaloniki) and north of Rafina. Landmarks include the Historic People's Museum of Varnavas (Istoriko Laografiko Mouseio Varnava). Businesses and agriculture are the most popular industry in Varnavas. Housing developments came slowly in the 1990s.

The municipal unit has a land area of 37.349 km2 (14 sq mi) and a total population of 1,722 inhabitants. Its other settlements are Ágioi Dimítrios kai Panteleímon (pop. 136), Pouríthi (57), Moní Metamorfóseos Sotíros (44), Ágios Ioánnis (23), Agía Paraskeví (22), Limniónas (19), and Moní Panagías (6).
