- Vicomte Sébastien de Valmont, a character in the 1782 French novel Les Liaisons dangereuses by Choderlos de Laclos.
- The same character in the 1988 film Dangerous Liaisons (or other film and stage adaptations), based on the above novel, starring John Malkovich as Valmont.
- Sebastian Valmont, portrayed by Ryan Phillippe, a character in the 1999 film Cruel Intentions, which updates the eighteenth-century French novel to modern New York City in the late 1990s. This incarnation of the character also appeared in the 2000 film, Cruel Intentions 2, as portrayed by Robin Dunne.
