Vadanappilly ( Vatanappally / Vadanapally / Vadanappilly / Vadanapilly ) is a panchayat & village in Thrissur district, in the state of Kerala, India. [1] Now a days the name Vatanappilly was wrongly mentioned as Vatanappally. But in proper malayalam language it has to be Vatanappilly. In malayalam you can find names of places ending with "pilly", eg. Athirappilly, Palappilly, Chemmappilly, ... Hence make it sure to read and write as Vatanappilly. Vadanapilly is a small coastal village situated on the coastal belt of Thrissur district, about 20km from Thrissur town. It is the nearest point in NH 17 from Trichur city. Vatanappilly placed next to Kandassan kadavau (which was ancient trade centre) and NH 17 passes straight through the heart of the town.Durga devi temple, South Juma Masjid, St.Fransics church and Beach are nearby tourist attractions.

A pleasant and clean beach situated in Arabian coast just 18 km from Thrissur, the cultural capital of kerala, is just 3km from Vadanapilly.
