Vaadhyar (Malayalam: വാധ്യാര്, Vāadhyar ?; English: Teacher) is an upcoming Malayalam masala film written and directed by debutante Nidheesh Sakthi, Produced by Jeevan Nazar in the banner of KNM Films, and the music is composed by M. G. Sreekumar. The film stars Jayasurya in the title role.[1]

The film is about a government school teacher named Anoop Krishnan(Jayasurya). He works at Kottapuram Saraswathi Vilasam U.P.School. But his dream is to become an MBA holder, but circumstances force him to take up teaching profession. The school faces a crisis and Anoop understands the value of his profession as the film progresses.[2]
The film was launched by the lead actor Jayasurya on 19 April 2011. Veteran director Kamal and director Lal Jose lighted the ceremonial lamp at the function. Shooting of the film began on the 5 May 2011 at Thrissur. On July 6, a very pivotal scene was shot at Kangapaadan Bar near Government Engineering College, Thrissur.
Due to the story allegations exhorted by P N Nahas, a native of Paravoor, the censoring works has been stopped by Ernakulam District Court. Nahas said that two years before he had told story of Vadhyar to N Sudheesh (Producer) and his friend Shaji Vargheese. They had only changed the story background, he added.[3]
