V. R. Kota (Veera Raghavuni Kota) is one of the major villages in Prakasam district on the East Coast of India in the state of Andhra Pradesh, in a river valley. This Village shows local cultures and accents of both Nellore (Nellore District) and Ongole (Prakasam District).

V. R. Kota is famous for its production of agricultural products such as Rice,Tobacco,Cotton and others.Most of the people in this village are mainly depend on agriculture and this village milk production is around 1500 litres per day.
One of the V.R. Kota temples is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This got constructed at the east side of the village has almost 1000 years of the history. It is believed to be the holiest place as it is located nearer to the joining point of a small river and a canal. This village has some other temples, which are dedicated to Lord Rama, Anjaneya, Chennakesava swamy, Goddess Ankamma, and Adhuramma.
There are two 2 elementary school in village. There is a high school. Before 2005 the high school was drastically ruined in education and culture. In 2005 a new headmaster and teaching staff joined the school on transfers. Later the school gained speed in developments and educational standards. It has no primary facilities also i.e. no water, no compound wall, no staff room and no waiting room for girls, no toilets, etc. Teachers of that school are very dedicated and now it is making progress.but now it is well developed in almost in all areas,and now it is one of the major village which is developing vigorously in lingasamudram mandalam.

This village is located between the two district Head Quarters, Nellore and Ongole. Not far far from NH-5 and has buses to KANDUKUR bus- station(nearest bus-station) every 50 minutes. The nearest railway station is in SINGARAYAKONDA.
