State Route 61 (SR-61) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Utah, connecting SR-23 in Cornish to U.S. Route 91 (US-91) near Richmond, in the extreme northern part of the state. Running along 13400 North in the Cache County street grid, the highway also runs through the town of Lewiston along its 7.3-mile (11.75-kilometer) span, as well as Cornish and Richmond. Formed in the 1930s, the highway has not seen any major changes to its routing.
At the intersection of 4800 West (SR-23) and 13400 South in the center of Cornish, SR-61 departs east on 13400 South due east. Exiting Cornish, the highway crosses the Bear River and continues east through rural Cache County. Following an intersection at 800 West (SR-200, a connector road to Preston), the highway enters Lewiston and forms the town's Center Street. The highway exits the town and ends at US-91 within 1 mile (1.61 km).[2]
The entire route is in Cache County.
