Uruha (?) (born June 9, 1981 in Kanagawa, Shōnan, Japan, birth name Takashima Kouyou 高島 広揚) is a Japanese musician and the lead guitarist of the visual kei band, The Gazette. The group was formed in 2002 with Uruha as the only guitarist but he was joined by fellow guitarist Aoi shortly after.[1] Uruha is the second most credited composer in The Gazette (after Ruki) and tends to compose songs with aggressive/dramatic sounds like "13Stairs[-]1", "Chizuru" and "Swallowtail on the Death Valley" among many others.[2] He plays using the shredding technique.
