"Up/Down" is the fifth single released from Australian singer Jessica Mauboy's debut album, Been Waiting. The song was produced by Kwamé Holland and was released digitally and physically on 28 August 2009[1][2] It debuted at number 22 on the ARIA Singles Chart, before reaching its highest peak at number 11 in its second week.[3] It peaked at number 11 for three weeks, spent 7 weeks in the ARIA top twenty and 15 weeks in the ARIA top 50. The single also gained a gold accreditation.[4]

Music video

The music video for the single was shot in Los Angeles on 17 August 2009. According to a Sony Music representative, the video is described as, "The idea behind the Up/Down video clip explores the two sides of Jessica... The 'down' side of thigs will feature Jessica preparing for her shows and being the natural girl she is, whereas the 'up' will feature the showgirl in Jessica on stage, displaying her coming of age and edginess, the sexy entertainer within."
