These hardware firewalls safeguard the network from the outside threats and intrusions.
A video conferencing facility has been established in the University of Jammu. This video conferencing Facility suite is in the Brainstorm Room located at vice – Chancellors chamber. The suite offers the ability to hold conferences with many other sites throughout India. It is possible to hold multi-venue conferences with several sites throughout India all connected to each other. This works surprisingly well. The suite comfortably seats 10-15 people at a conference table, with seating available for an additional 7-8 participant on and/or off camera.
The suite has one camera with Sony set top box and 29” color display and sound facilities. The camera has features that allow you to remotely pan around the room to show additional participants as well as zooming in for a close-up if a particular individual is speaking.
E-mail is the term used for the electronic transfer of information between individuals and organizations.
