History

In September 2010, it had 100% occupancy. 90% is more typical.[1]

Original anchor stores at the mall included Zayre, which became Ames in 1989; it then closed in 2002 and became Kohl's.[4] Another previous anchor was Steinbach which is now The Bon-Ton.

Operations

The rental per square foot is proprietary information. Average pro-rata tax payment for a non-anchor store is about $2 per 1 square foot (0.093 m2).[1]

Tenants

The University Mall has an array of stores and areas to eat.[5] Various national retailers have their only Burlington-area store within the mall, including the four current anchor stores. In 2009, Vermont's first IHOP opened here, [6], becoming the mall's second sit-down restaurant. There is a food court.
