Union Township is the most sparsely populated of the eight townships in Vanderburgh County, Indiana, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 392.[1] This is largely due to the entire township being located within the Ohio River Floodplain.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Union Township covers an area of 27.89 square miles (72.2 km2); of this, 27.34 square miles (70.8 km2) (98.03 percent) is land and 0.55 square miles (1.4 km2) (1.97 percent) is water.
