Coverage on CNBC [8] and the BBC,[9] new awards and Microsoft Gold Partner certification in 2007 provided Uniblue with a taste of acknowledgment and global recognition. Long established and ongoing marketing practices involve collaboration with editors of the most popular PC publications [10] and websites worldwide to have products reviewed by critics or recommended in credit-crunch beating recommendation lists. Several cover mount agreements with a host of magazines were also negotiated in the company’s bid to raise its products’ profile even further. Uniblue has also partnered with various software vendors and distributors to market their products. RegistryBooster

This software utility is designed to conduct a deep scan of a PC registry, so as to identify and remove all registry entries causing instability or slowdown, for the purpose of general optimization. A cleaned PC is supposed to gain extra speed and efficiency on behalf of the program’s registry defragmentation system.[11]

SpeedUpMyPC

SpeedUpMyPC will check for processes, files and settings that are causing compromises in performance. The software will then provide the user with a set of tools built to boost system resource management, optimize system and network settings and remove junk files bloating the hard drive.[12]

DriverScanner

Uniblue’s driver utility will list all drivers in need of updating, as well as detect device driver of all peripherals – even those not currently connected to a PC. DriverScanner will offer the latest driver versions as released by hardware manufacturers, making them readily available to download and install.[13]

Uniblue Initiatives and Community Services

Uniblue Causes supports several worldwide initiatives through donations and support. Such causes include Peace Winds Japan, Medecins Sans Frontiers (Doctors without borders), One Laptop per Child and UNICEF [14]

UniGreen is an environmental campaign targeting the reducing and the recycling of material throughout the organization.

UniCare is a programme established by Uniblue covering a host of employee well-being measures, including fully customizable work chairs from Sweden, health care, individual ergonomic workspace consultations, several chill-out zones and an open-air terrace among others.

Controversial

Hard Sales Marketing

Uniblue had been accused of practicing aggressive marketing strategies. The accusations were primarily based on serious misconceptions of the purposes of the tools offered by the company.[15] After recognizing this issue, Uniblue has sought to refine their marketing messaging style in an attempt to provide more education to their customers prior to purchasing.

Incompatibility

Incompatibility with some programs has been reported in the past. To date most of these have been resolved.
