The professional cycling team LA-MSS Maia is a Portuguese Team based in Maia, Portugal. It is one of the European teams in UCI Continental Tour.

Doping investigation

In May 2008 after the team had victories in Subida al Naranco, the Vuelta a Asturias and the Gran Premio Rota dos Móveis, the headquarters of the team were searched by police where doping products such as doping substances, medications, equipment to conduct blood transfusions and instruments for clinical use were found. [1] In June 2008, the Portuguese Cycling Federation (UVP/FCP) suspended nine members of the team temporarily pending the outcome of the investigation; five of which were riders and four were team staff.[2] The suspended riders included:
