K. P. Ummer

K. P. Ummer (Malayalam: കെ പി ഉമ്മർ, 11 October 1930 – 29 October 2001) was a Malayalam cinema actor from Thekkepuram quarter of Kozhikode, Kerala, India. He was active in cinema from early sixties until late nineties.[1] He was the most successful villains of his time. He played opposite Prem Nazir, who was the hero in many films, which the audience liked to watch very much. He was also a character artist in the 60's & 70's and more in the 80's. In his earlier career life, he was a professional drama actor of the famous K.P.A.C. and other troupes. His first film was M. T. Vasudevan Nair's Murappennu (1965). He got popularity very soon with his style of acting which, the mimicry artistes made to attract people for their shows till now. His expressive eyes were a unique style.
