Umboza were a house duo from Germany composed of Stuart Crichton and Michael Kilkie. They recorded for Positiva Records.
Umboza released a single entitled "Cry India" in 1995 which was a hit both in the U.S. and the UK which was based around a sample of Lionel Richie's hit All Night Long. The song peaked at #16 on the Billboard Dance Club Play Charts[1] and #19 on the UK Singles Chart.[2] A second single, "Sunshine", proved to be their biggest UK hit, reaching #14 in 1996 and was based around a sample of The Gypsy Kings hit Bamboleo.[2] The track appeared on numerous compilations including Now 34 and Dancemania 3.
