The U.N. Force is a fictional team of comic book superheroes created in 1993 by Brent Carpenter[1] for Caliber Comics - under the Gauntlet Comics imprint - featuring an assembly of leading scientists selected from the United Nations. Composed of twenty-five members from eighteen nations, the purpose of the group is to step in on regional conflicts and other global issues around the world, preventing such situations - including terrorism and coup d'états from becoming a "full scale war". Being servants of the United Nations, the U.N. Force is not restricted to the jurisdiction of any one or two countries.[2][3] The first issue of the comic book (U.N. Force #1) that featured the U.N. Force characters was released on 1 January 1993.[4] The U.N. Force was featured on major news networks, including CNN and HNN.[4]
