Tuitjenhorn (West Frisian: Tutinghorn) is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Harenkarspel, Tuitjenhorn is the main town of the Harenkarspel municipality. Tuitjenhorn lies about 9 km northwest of Heerhugowaard. In 2001, the town of Tuitjenhorn had 2487 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.56 km², and contained 942 residences.[1] The statistical area "Tuitjenhorn", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 3200.[2]
