Trumptonshire is a fictional county, created by Gordon Murray, in which Camberwick Green, Trumpton and Chigley are located. According to Murray, the three communities are based on real locations that are one and a half miles from each other at the corners of an equilateral triangle. [1]
The puppets are designed to be around 8 inches /20cm high (without hat), though certain sites give variations between 6 and 8 inches.
BBC Studios and Post Production's Digital Media Services team remastered all 39 episodes in 2011 for DVD release, taking the footage frame by frame and meticulously cleaning, scanning and digitally restoring it.
