Trotec Ltd. is an international manufacturer of advanced laser engraving, laser marking, and laser cutting systems. As division of Trodat, a manufacturer of rubber stamp and marking systems since 1912, Trotec was established in 1997 to focus exclusively on the needs of the laser engraving and industrial marking industries.
The headquarters is located in Marchtrenk, Austria and multiple subsidiaries are located throughout the world, including Germany, The United States of America in (Ypsilanti, Michigan), France, Poland, The Netherlands, Canada, China, Japan, Russia, Australia, and South Africa. With its worldwide presence, Trotec’s machines are currently in use in over 90 countries around the globe.
Today, the company’s extensive line of laser engravers, cutters, and markers coupled with its service and support have allegedly made Trotec Laser one of the industry’s leading resources for computer-controlled engraving equipment and marking systems in the world. Their product range covers flatbed and galvo steered laser systems powered by CO2 lasers from 12 W to 500 W and Fiber lasers from 10 W to 50 W.
Trotec Laser offers laser systems for engraving, cutting, and marking applications. Trotec Laser claims to offer the highest reliability and accuracy and the fastest speeds (140 inches a second with an acceleration of 5g) on the market.
In 2009, Trotec coined the term "The Trotec Advantage" highlighting their speed capabilities, InPack Technology, Harsh Environment Kit, JobControl Expert Software, and the longest standard warranties as the main features that supposedly set them apart from their competitors.
Trotec is well known for selling high end lasers. In 2008, Trotec introduced the rayjet, an entry-level laser system, in order to become more competitive in the market for entry-level systems. The rayjet desktop laser engraver is targeted at small to medium sized laser engraving shops and retail locations. To address company growth, Trotec offers their Trade-in Trade-up Program[1] to all customers who purchase their rayjet.
