Trachydoras is a genus of catfishes (order Siluriformes) of the family Doradidae. It includes five species, T. brevis, T. microstomus, T. nattereri, T. paraguayensis, T. steindachneri.[1]

Trachydoras species are distributed in South America. T. brevis originates from the Negro and Essequibo River basins.[2] T. microstomus inhabits the Amazon, Orinoco, and Essequibo River basins.[3] T. nattereri and T. steindachneri live in the Amazon River basin.[4][5] T. paraguayensis is found in the Paraná River basin.[6]

These species range have a maximum size of 6–11 centimetres (2.4–4.3 in) SL.[2][3][4][5][6]
