TopSource LLC
TopSource LLC, a strategic sourcing company based in Braintree, Massachusetts, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Topco Associates LLC, the largest American retail food GPO (Group Purchasing Organization). TopSource specializes in sourcing "Not-For-Resale" products and services for food industry retailers and wholesalers.[1]
History
- 2001 Ahold USA forms Not-For-Resale (NFR) division
- 2003 NFR group becomes BrainTree Sourcing
- 2006 BrainTree Sourcing acquired by Topco, renamed TopSource LLC[2]
- 2007 TopSource surpasses $1 billion in NFR spend under management
- 2008 TopSource realizes 23% sales growth
- 2009 TopSource realizes 9% sales growth
In October 2010, TopSource partnered with AmeriQuest Transportation Services, a leader in providing distribution and transportation solutions for manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. Recognizing they offer several programs in the same niche business areas, TopSource and AmeriQuest formed a strategic business partnership to expand each of their program offerings.
