Todos AB, providers of "security solutions" for Online Banking and eCommerce, is headquartered in Göteborg, has offices in Stockholm (Sweden), China, Taiwan, Germany and Brazil, as well as partners all over the world. In April 2010, Gemalto completed the acquisition of the company's entire equity.
Established in 1987, Todos AB (formerly known as TDS Todos Data System AB) focused initially on product solutions, based on smart card technology, primarily for the telecom sector. Attention was turned to two-factor authentication in the early 1990s and since 2001, Todos has been delivering strong authentication to the global banking and finance sector as total solutions providers, supporting clients with everything from design to delivery and logistics.
Todos AB's core offer is the eCode Suite, including the Todos Versatile Authentication Server (VAS), which enables strong authentication and transaction verification. The Versatile Authentication Server supports all leading industry standards and is augmented by patented technology such as Dynamic Signatures. Using their EMV card and a Todos eCode reader, consumers can use their PIN code to securely sign internet banking transactions. An additional layer of security can be provided by displaying transaction details on the reader, so that users “sign what they see”, thwarting in particular “man-in-the-middle” attacks.
In September 2009, Todos delivered its 20th million product and amongst its 100+ clients leading banks such as ABN AMRO, Handelsbanken, Raiffeisen Bank Romania, Nordea, ICA Banken, China Construction Bank stand out.
In 2009 Todos AB was ranked by Deloitte Fast-50 Sweden and Fast-500 EMEA as Sweden's 15th - and EMEA's 201st - fastest growing IT-company, courtesy of an 894% revenue increase between 2004-2008.
