To Speak of Wolves was founded in 2007 with ex-members of several touring bands, including Sullivan, This Runs Through and Human Flight Committee.[1][2] They signed with Tragic Hero Records and release their debut EP Following Voices.[3] Following this, the band went through a number of lineup changes,[4] before settling on the current lineup and signing with Solid State Records.[5] In 2010 they released their first full length album, Myself < Letting Go.[6] In late 2010, lead vocalist Rick Jacobs left the band, being replaced with former Oh, Sleeper merch man, Gage Speas.
