Tišina (Hungarian: Csendlak) is a town and municipality in the Prekmurje region of northeastern Slovenia. It has been an independent municipality since 1 January 1999. Between 1995 and 1999 it was included in a single municipality together with Cankova and between 1955 and 1995 it was part of the Murska Sobota municipality.[2]

The Parish Church in the settlement is dedicated to The Nativity of Mary and belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Murska Sobota. It dates to the 12th century with extensive 16th century rebuilding.[3]

The Slovene politician in Hungary Ferenc Ivanóczy was born in Tišina.
