TitanFile Inc is a Canadian company headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia. TitanFile is an online secure file sharing and email encryption service. The company is one of the secure cloud computing pioneers advocating for stronger privacy policies in Canada as well as USA.

TitanFile provides secure document transfer solutions free of charge to non-profit organizations and is accepted by many government organizations due to full privacy policy compliance.

History

In 2010, the company won the Nova Scotia Co-operative's Best Big Idea 2010 competition[1] and Dyn and CloudCamp's Cloudy Awards 2011.[2] In March 2011, co-founders Milan Vrekic and Tony Abou-Assaleh launched TitanFile publicly.[2] That same month, The Chronicle Herald mentioned TitanFile's support for organizations and individuals to securely share documents.[3]

In August 2011, TitanFile secured a $250,000 CAD seed financing round from Innovacorp.[4] And in December 2011, TitanFile announced their first expansion plans into Kitchener, Ontario.[5]

Product

TitanFile was designed to be a robust and reliable solution for users wishing to send and receive electronic documents that were too big or too confidential for email. TitanFile Inc. offers four types of TitanFile user-accounts including a free account available to users, but with basic features only.[6] Depending on the account type, TitanFile offers unlimited number of files that can be shared on a secured connection, almost unlimited file size, 24/7 email and phone support, encrypted storage, a secure deposit box, and recipient verification, available to up to 100 members.[6]
