Titabar is located at .[1] It has an average elevation of 172 m (564 ft).
As of 2001[update] India census,[2] Titabor subdivision had a population of about 110224. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Titabor Town has an average literacy rate of 81%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 84%, and female literacy is 77%. In Titabor Town, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Titabar subdivision is part of Jorhat (Lok Sabha constituency).Current MLA from Titabar assembly constituency is Tarun Gogoi the honourable Chief Minister of Assam who won the seat in State elections in 2001.[3]
