Tillietudlem

Tillietudlem is a hamlet in South Lanarkshire, Scotland.

The nearby Craignethan Castle was thought to have been the inspiration for Tillietudlem Castle in Sir Walter Scott's novel Old Mortality. The hamlet has taken the name Tillietudlem and the residents have an annual event to commemorate its naming. Tillietudlem lies about one mile west of Crossford on the Corra Mill Road. Crossford is on the A72 between Hamilton and Lanark.

Tillietudlem was once served by Tillietudlem railway station. The platforms of this station still exist.
