The Tianjin West Railway Station (Chinese: 天津西站; pinyin: Tiānjīn Xī zhàn) is a high-speed railway station in Tianjin, People's Republic of China. It's served by Jinghu Railway and Tsubo Railway and by the Jinghu High-Speed Railway.
In 2008 began the renovation and expansion of the station station, with the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway under construction. After the completion of Jinghu High-Speed Railway, Jingjin Intercity Railway, Tianjin West Railway Station platforms were increased from 13 to 24. These include 9 high-speed 17-yard lines. The reconstruction of the station building integrates two new North-South station buildings, waiting room, North-South underground connection square, baggage check-in points. West railway station can be reached by bus, subway (Tianjin Metro Line 1, 4, 6). Tianjin West Railway Station will replace the station to become the largest transportation hub of Tianjin. The station was designed by the international renowned architectural firm Gerkan, Marg and Partners and officially opened in summer 2011. The operation is part of a massive urban renovation project of the north area of Tianjin that will bring the station in the center of a new residential and commercial development.
