Thundersprint is a motorcycle event for classic and exotic motorcycles held in annually in May in Northwich, Cheshire, England.[1] Attendance is estimated to be around 100,000 over the two days, and it is the second largest event in Europe.[2]
The Thundersprint has been running since 1997. The race takes place in Leicester Street car park in Northwich town centre, next to the Marks and Spencer store and the show takes place the day before the races in the piazza outside Northwich Memorial Hall. Both events have free admission and parking.[3]
The Bike Show has around 100 classic, exotic or interesting motorcycles on show. There are no barriers, so the public can get up close and personal, maybe even talk to the owners.
The racing is divided into 10 classes based on age of machine, engine size etc. There are separate shows on both days with stalls and entertainment. On years where the weather has permitted, there has been a Spitfire aerobatic display as part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight based at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire.[3]
