Following the review by the Boundary Commission for England of parliamentary representation in the former county of Avon, a new seat of Thornbury and Yate has been created. The electoral wards used in the creation of this new seat are all from the district of South Gloucestershire, and are as follows:[2]
Election | Member [3] | Party | |
---|---|---|---|
2010 | Steve Webb | Liberal Democrat |
This seat was fought for the first time at the 2010 general election. It was the first Liberal Democrat victory to be declared on the evening of 6 May.
The vote share change comes from the notional results as this is a new seat.
