Thoppur

Thoppur is a village between Salem and Dharmapuri (Tamil Nadu). It is also junction for Mettur Road. Thoppur is a small village surrounded by Ghat section and is located on the border of Salem and Dharmapuri districts, Thoppur which is in between Salem and Dharmapuri (NH-7). The Distance from Bangalore is 164 kilometres (102 mi).

Thoppaiyaru Dam, Anjaneyar Kovi (Mutthampatty), Rope Winch, Perumal Kovil (on Vanagunda hill). Thoppaiyaru Dam is famous in the highway.

There is a holy shrine of Hazrath Syed Shah Vali Ulla Dargha (Famously known As Thoppur Dargha) (Muslim shrine) Lots of people visit this place for the Blessings.Every Thursday and Friday lots of devotees both Muslims and Hindus visit this place.

From Bangalore to reach Thoppur, both Bus and Train Facilities are there. There are so many bus available to Bangalore to Salem.
