Thomas Windebanke

Sir Thomas Windebanke, 1st Baronet ( ) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons in 1640. He supported the Royalist side in the English Civil War.

Windebanke was the son of Sir Francis Windebanke Secretary of State to King Charles I.[1] He became Clerk of the Signet to King Charles I in 1641[2] and was created a baronet in 1645.[3]

In April 1640, Windebanke was elected Member of Parliament for Wootton Bassett in the Short Parliament.[4]

After the Restoration, Windebanke was clerk to the signet again from 1660 to 1674.[2]
