Thokottu is tiny town in Mangalore Taluk towards south of Mangalore city on National highway 17. A road goes from Thokottu to Konaje from the highway junction.[1]. The starting of educational institutes at Deralakatte has led to construction of many commercial complexes in the area.
Thokkottu also has a railway station and it is the first stop after the train leaves Mangalore towards south direction.
