Thới Bình is a rural district (huyện) of Ca Mau province in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 138,763.[1] The district covers an area of 631 km². The district capital lies at Thoi Binh.[1] Thoi Binh borders the district of U Minh to the west, Kien Giang province to the north, Bac Lieu province to the east and northeast, and Ca Mau to the south.
As a district under in the Ca Mau peninsula and Mekong Delta, Thoi Binh is typical of the area, with low lying and slaty floodplains. Part of the district lies in the U Minh forest. The main economic activity in the district is aquaculture, particularly prawna bd blue crab farming. Trem River, a tributary of the Ong Doc River is the only waterway flowing through this district.
