Sarah Sawtelle from Teenreads.com stated the novel was more suspenseful and intriguing than its prequel and there were "were a few unexpected twists that kept you guessing right until the very end."[3] Cindy Welch from Booklist stated that short dialogue and quick moving action carry the entry in Stine's Dangerous Girls series.[1]
Sherrie Williams from VOYA stated it contains little exposition and is predictable, but "it will doubtless find an enthusiastic audience."[4]
