The Negro in the South

The Negro in the South, a book written in 1907 by sociologist W.E.B. Du Bois and educator Booker T. Washington, described the social history of African American people in the southern United States. It was a compilation of the William Levi Bull Lectures on Christian Sociology for that year. It has been re-published in 2011 in electronic form via Project Gutenberg. [1]
